Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in Stem Cell Oncology at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, you’ll assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for oncology patients undergoing stem cell therapy, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care. You will formulate and execute a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on patient-specific needs, review and revise plans as needed, and communicate effectively with patients, families and other care providers. The role emphasizes meeting professional nursing standards, using electronic medical records, participating in quality improvement activities, mentoring or precepting others when appropriate, and supporting growth for the department. A current RN license (or eligible/interim/compact) and BLS certification are required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with professional certifications and ongoing education encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice
- BLS certification is required
- Professional certification may be required based on area of practice
- New Graduate Nurse experience path available on job page
- Experience in clinical area desirable (oncology, medical-surgical)
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card requirements for certain Banner roles (as applicable)
- Annual validations to maintain clinical performance competencies
