Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures. Assist with activities of daily living, supervise nursing assistants, and monitor physical and emotional status to notify physicians of changes. Develop individualized care plans, coordinate admissions and discharges, and complete accurate clinical documentation. Participate in quality assurance, staff education, and regulatory surveys. Day and night shifts available; weekend warriors earn an additional $5/hr. Requires active RN license, CPR/BLS, and minimum one year clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical nursing experience
- Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound clinical judgment
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Long-term care experience
- Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role
