Job Summary
Prepare and assess patients for spine and pain management procedures, including pain evaluations, vitals, and medical history. Assist providers with treatments and administer medications and injections while monitoring patients for condition changes. Coordinate care through follow-ups, referrals, and patient education, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with clinical standards. Support a safe clinic environment by assisting with lab and testing as needed. This PRN role at Mercy Clinic Southfork supports advanced pain management treatments in a specialized clinical setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current valid state license
- CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
- Skill in assisting and performing a variety of medical treatments and procedures
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Must be able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies
- Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public
- Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills, or the ability to learn these skills, in order to access information and enter clinical data
- Must be able to operate equipment normally related to the specialty of the clinic
