Job Summary
Prepare and assess patients for spine and pain management, including pain evaluations, vitals, and medical history. Assist providers with procedures and treatments, administer medications and injections, and support IV therapy. Monitor patients for condition changes, coordinate care with follow-ups and referrals, and maintain accurate documentation. Operate clinic equipment and assist with lab or testing as needed. This PRN role at Mercy Clinic Southfork supports advanced pain management treatments in a specialized clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current valid state license
- CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
- Skill in assisting and performing a variety of medical treatments and procedures
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Must be able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies
- Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public
- Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills, or the ability to learn these skills, in order to access information and enter clinical data
- Must be able to operate equipment normally related to the specialty of the clinic
