Registered Nurse (RN)-Smithfield ED-Labor Pool

RN – Works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Director in Riverside Health System, responsible for the assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluation of total nursing care for assigned patients. May work in the Critical Care/Telemetry Complex and related units. Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making to create individualized care plans based on physiological, psychosocial, and cultural needs. Supervises and delegates tasks to non-professional personnel to ensure optimum patient care. Provides education to patients and families, coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, and facilitates safe transitions to the next care setting. Maintains documentation per RHS standards and regulatory requirements, demonstrates urgency in patient throughput, and applies current evidence-based practices to quality outcomes.
