Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' health status, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms. Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and other team members to establish goals of care and develop appropriate care strategies. Administer medications, perform wound care, monitor vital signs, and manage medical equipment as needed to support resident health and recovery. Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in resident medical records. Participate in care conferences and team meetings to discuss residents' progress goals. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. Full-Time, Weekdays, Weekends, Thursday - Saturday, 6AM - 6PM. Valid RN license in the state of employment required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where work is performed.
- CPR, AZ Fingerprint Card and TB Test required.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and best practices in long-term care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements governing nursing practices and skilled nursing facilities.
- Ability to build rapport with patients through a compassionate and caring demeanor.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, and twist.
- Stamina to stand and move about the facility to perform frequent rounds and respond to emergent situations as needed.
- Emotional resilience and ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of working with residents who may have complex healthcare needs.
- Capability to lift and transfer residents safely, with proper body mechanics and assistance as needed.
- Required vision includes close, vision, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager.
- The job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.
- The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
- The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
Desired Qualifications
- Any nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility setting is preferred, but not required.
