Job Summary
RN in the Short Stay Observation Unit with a weekend-option night schedule (Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun) at Mercy Cedar Rapids. Part-time staffing for a 28-bed unit; duties include delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care, monitoring patients post-surgery or with acute pain, educating patients/families at discharge, documenting in hand-offs, collaborating with physicians and fellow nurses, and participating in a mentorship-oriented orientation. Qualifications include Iowa/compact-state RN licensure, BLS certification, mandatory reporter training, and a BSN preferred. Weekend hours typical 7p-7:30a with flexible Weekdays; opportunity for growth across specialties and a supportive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Iowa or compact state
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse/Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred
