Job Summary
Provide direct care to students for acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions, administer medications per physician orders, and monitor health records for state compliance. Develop care plans for students with medical needs, educate students and parents on wellness topics, and respond to emergencies by coordinating with emergency services. Collaborate with school staff and community resources to support student well-being in diverse elementary settings. Requires an active Indiana RN license, one year of pediatric experience, and CPR certification. Available for an interim shift from August 31 to October 9, with possibility of extension.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN license in Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric, school health, or community health nursing
- Current CPR certification
- Strong assessment skills
- Critical thinking
- Ability to work independently
- Compassionate communicator
- Values collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Availability to staff from Aug. 31st- October 9th
- Possibility of extension to full school year
