Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based clinical care for designated patients on the Same Day Surgery unit. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to delegate tasks appropriately and demonstrate respect, dignity, and empathy in all patient and family encounters. Competently perform safe nursing skills and procedures while critically thinking in routine and emergency situations. Requires a registered nursing license, completion of preceptorship, and orientation to the facility. Full-time, 30-hour weekly schedule at the Edgewood, Kentucky location.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited School of Nursing
- Must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence
- Licensed to practice in the state where work is being performed
- Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses
- Focus of education promotes nurses' ability to practice in clinical area assigned
- Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, policies and competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration
- Competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures
- Able to critically think and problem solve in routine and emergency situations
