Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based clinical care for designated patients in the Same Day Surgery/PACU. Delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed team members while demonstrating respect, dignity, and empathy with patients, families, and staff. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes using the nursing process, critically thinking in routine and emergency situations. Requires a current Registered Nurse license and experience in the assigned clinical area. Part-time, 20-hour first shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited School of Nursing
- Licensed to practice in the state where work is being performed
- Must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence
- Meets contact hour requirements for licensure
- Includes all state-required courses
- Focus of education promotes nurses' ability to practice in clinical area assigned
- Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory
- Demonstrates knowledge of clinical practice standards
- Demonstrates knowledge of procedures
- Demonstrates knowledge of policies
- Demonstrates competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration
- Competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures
- Able to critically think and problem solve in routine and emergency situations
