Job Summary
Provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient setting, fostering patient/family centered care. Conduct assessments, develop individual plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and validate goals with patients and families. Deliver direct care consistent with the nursing plan, delegate tasks as appropriate, and monitor quality of care through performance indicators and audits. Teach patients and families using accessible language, advocate for their needs, and ensure continuity during discharge transitions. Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory requirements including TJC, SC DPH, and CMS standards. Schedule includes variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call work.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency from another organization
- 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- Nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
