Job Summary
Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifies and determines the priority of patient's problems/needs, and evaluates the outcome of nursing care. Coordinates, provides, and directs patient teaching activities while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to conduct initial and ongoing assessments, create plans of care, and implement treatment. Administers medications safely, serves as the point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments, and acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement. Requires a valid nursing license, BLS certification, and 36 weekly hours in evening/night shifts at Roper Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support
- Valid nursing license from the state of practice
- Associate of Nursing, nursing
- Diploma in Nursing
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
