Job Summary
Perform the nursing process using evidence-based practice to provide relationship-based, patient-centered care in the recovery room. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication, document safe quality patient care, and partner with patients and families to set goals and update care plans. Mentor staff and students, participate in performance improvement activities, and develop protocols to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Maintain current certifications including ACLS, BLS, and PALS while complying with Wellstar Health System policies and TJC safety goals.
Required Qualifications
- direct patient care nursing experience
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
