Job Summary
RN Rapid Response Team (RRT) engagement in coordination of RRT assessments, prioritization and implementation of interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include documenting interventions and outcomes in the patient record using SBAR, developing and implementing clinical practice guidelines for RRT, monitoring patient outcomes, educating patients and families, and educating staff on RRT processes. The role serves as a resource to staff, physicians, patients, families, and other departments, and involves data collection, trend analysis, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Night shift based in Georgia with on-site responsibilities in Augusta/Grovetown areas under Wellstar Health System.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor's Nursing preferred
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - American Red Cross ALS or ACLS-I - ACLS Instructor
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - American Red Cross BLS or BLS-I - BLS Instructor
- RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - Multi-state Compact
- National certification in critical care nursing (preferred)
- NIHSS certification (preferred)
- Current Georgia RN licensure or eNLC privilege to practice in GA
- Current AHA ACLS credentials
- Current AHA BLS credentials
- Minimum 2 years of nursing practice in a critical care environment
- Strong communication, delegation, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Compliance with ANA Code of Ethics for Professional Nurses
