Job Summary
RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team delivering relationship-based, patient-centered care across Oncology/Acute Care within Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. The role follows the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) and uses evidence-based practice to tailor care to diverse patient populations. Collaboration with patients, families, and the care team is emphasized, including bedside shift reporting and interdisciplinary rounds. The RN supports performance improvement, maintains documentation, mentors other staff, and upholds professional standards and policies within a shared governance framework. The position requires active RN licensure, BLS certification, a minimum of 5 years of direct RN experience, and is a part-time daytime role (36 hours per pay period) with two 12-hour shifts alternating weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma or Bachelor's Nursing-Required
- RN - Registered Nurse license (single-state) or RN-COMPACT (multi-state) license
- BLS - Basic Life Support (or ARC-BLS/BLS-I)
- Minimum 5 years RN experience in direct patient care
- English language proficiency and ability to use technology effectively
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to work in fast-paced environment; critical thinking and time management
- Nursing practice according to Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics
- Nurse competencies aligned with Wellstar Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice
