Job Summary
Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg on a part-time, 24 hrs/week schedule. The role involves educating patients and families, serving as a role model to Level I nurses, applying ANA standards of practice, utilizing electronic resources to support best practices, delegating non-nursing duties appropriately, developing and executing patient care plans, recognizing changes in patient condition, mentoring colleagues and students in patient-centered care, conducting purposeful rounds, performing literature searches to inform practice, and identifying opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participating in changes based on evidence. The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, successful NCLEX, Maryland nursing license, and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by specialty.
