Job Summary
Collaborate with the team Psychiatrist or APRN to manage the medication system, administer medications and medical services, and arrange for required lab work. Screen new admits for high-risk factors, complete initial assessments, and monitor clients for medical problems or side effects while educating them and staff. Coordinate services with pharmacy employees, medication representatives, and other treatment providers, and participate in daily staff organizational meetings and treatment planning review meetings. Provide training and education to staff, clients, and others in health and medication-related topics, and ensure clients are current on immunizations, TB tests, and labs as needed. Complete documentation in a timely manner and meet minimum service time requirements. Work on a regular and predictable basis in a residential treatment center environment, with preference for weekend grave shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of Utah
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a current driver's license
- Have a good driving record
- Be insurable on the agency's liability policy
- Must be able to pass Utah-DHS – Office of Licensing background screening
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Ability to use sound judgment within the scope of the position's responsibilities
- Ability to maintain professionalism and adapt to change
- Organized, detail-oriented, self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention
- Computer literate with familiarity of Microsoft Office
- Ability to uphold professional boundaries
