Job Summary
Assess patients with behavioral health conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans. Administer medications, therapeutic interventions, and seclusion/restraint procedures when clinically indicated. Monitor patient status, document care in the EMR, and respond to psychiatric crises using de-escalation techniques. Facilitate therapeutic groups, educate patients and families on diagnoses and coping strategies, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Promote patient safety and recovery while maintaining BLS certification and adhering to mental health laws. Full-time nights shifts (7p-7:30a) with a sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
- Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
- Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care
