Job Summary
Assess patients and develop individualized nursing care plans for behavioral health conditions. Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions while monitoring patient status and documenting care in the EMR. Respond to psychiatric crises using de-escalation techniques and facilitate therapeutic groups with patient education. Implement seclusion and restraint procedures per policy and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on treatment plans. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, coping strategies, and discharge planning to promote safety and recovery. Work full-time nights (7p-7:30a) in a supportive team culture at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital, where a $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
- Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
- Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care
