Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations for patients in the Progressive Care Unit while coordinating interdisciplinary rounds and ensuring individualized, evidence-based care plans. Partner with patients and families to set goals, provide bedside teaching, and maintain timely documentation within the Wellstar Shared Governance Model. Mentor staff and students, lead performance improvement initiatives, and uphold legal standards including BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor certifications. Requires five years of direct patient care experience and a BSN.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years direct patient care nursing experience
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN)
- Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
- Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS - Instructor or ACLS - Provisional
- Pediatric Adv Life Support or PALS - Instructor or PALS - Provisional
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing Preferred
