Job Summary
Provide high-acuity PCU nursing care bridging ICU and Med/Surg, including comprehensive assessments, rhythm interpretation, telemetry management, IV drips, and ventilation support. Develop individualized care plans with a multidisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and ensure accurate EMR documentation. Requires RN license in Virginia or a compact state with BLS and ACLS; BSN preferred; 1–1.5 years of PCU/Step-Down experience; able to manage high-risk patients with complex interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred)
- 1–1.5 years of related PCU/Step-Down/Intermediate care experience
- Valid Virginia or compact RN license, BLS, and ACLS required; NIHSS certification preferred
