Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing relationships to formulate individualized plans of care. Perform patient care in a patient and family-centered manner while advocating for rights and resolving issues through interdisciplinary resource access. Document all activities per standards, evaluate processes to anticipate variances, and make clinical decisions based on experience and population data. This full-time night shift role (7:00 pm–7:00 am) supports 36 beds in a Progressive Care Unit treating complex cardiac, renal, respiratory, and gastrointestinal patients at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, a national healthcare leader in safety and quality.
Required Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Associate's degree (ADN) with completion of BSN within 5 years of start date
- Minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia
- Privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association
