Job Summary
Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care to admitted patients on the nursing unit while utilizing the nursing process. Plan, coordinate, and provide interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization. Access community resources and perform related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities with ACLS certification. Work as a PRN nurse in the evenings under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse.
Required Qualifications
- current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
- Current BLS certification
- Evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
- BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment
- Current ACLS certification (for Charge Nurses)
Desired Qualifications
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
