Job Summary
Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care to admitted nursing unit residents by utilizing the nursing process. Plan, coordinate, and provide interdisciplinary and discharge planning while conducting patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization and accessing community resources. Work under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, with ACLS certification required for Charge Nurse roles. Maintain current BLS certification with AHA approval within 90 days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
- Current BLS certification
- AHA approved BLS certification
- AHA approved ACLS certification
- ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
