Job Summary
Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care to individuals admitted to the nursing unit under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse. Utilize the nursing process to plan, coordinate, and provide interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and access to community resources. May perform Charge Nurse duties if ACLS certification is held. Requires current RN licensure in the state, BLS certification, and ACLS certification within 90 days of employment. One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
- Current BLS certification
- Evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
- BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment
- Current ACLS certification for Charge Nurses
Desired Qualifications
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
Additional Requirements
- ACLS is REQUIRED from day 1 for Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU
