Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for Private Duty Home Health (PRN) in Florida administers nursing care at clients' residences, coordinates with the interdisciplinary team, and ensures quality, timely care. Responsibilities include completing initial and ongoing assessments (including OASIS), developing and revising the Plan of Care, implementing infection control, coordinating services, documenting thoroughly, providing on-call coverage, supervising other nursing personnel, and maintaining licensure and continuing education. Requires at least 1 year of RN experience, an accredited RN program, English literacy, CPR, a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel locally; preferred BSN.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year experience as an RN in a clinical care setting.
- Preferred Home health experience.
- Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrates proven decision-making skills.
- If required to make visits, Hepatitis profile.
- Must read, write and comprehend English.
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
- Preferred, BSN.
- Current driver’s license in good standing.
- Current State professional license as an RN in any/all applicable states.
- Current CPR.
- On-going employment as an RN always requires maintaining a valid RN license in the state where the nurse practices in and a valid CPR certificate. The employee is responsible for renewing these before they expire to continue employment.
