Administer patient care in an inpatient setting for patients with advanced illness or injury requiring complex assessment and high-intensity interventions. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret electronic displays for cardiac rhythms and pressures, and respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards. Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate progress toward expected outcomes while functioning as a patient and family advocate. Prioritize care in accordance with Evidence-Based Practice Standards, delegate tasks to team members, and communicate patient conditions to interdisciplinary staff. Document care consistently and maintain compliance with Orlando Health policies. Serves as a preceptor, charge nurse, or unit educator to support new team members and students.
