Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse in the Pre/Post Surgery department provides professional nursing care through assessment, accurate documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for the comfort and well-being of patients. Responsible for coordinating care delivery and education through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team providers. Must perform professional, clinical, and technical competencies of the assigned unit and follow organizational policies to ensure safe patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing (Kansas) or compact license
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days
- 2 or more years experience as a Clinical Nurse
Additional Requirements
- For ADN prepared nurses hired after February 24, 2017, must complete BSN degree by the fifth anniversary of employment as an RN with UKHA
