Registered Nurse (RN), Pre-Operative/PACU/OR - Full Time

Job Summary
Assess, prioritize, plan, and implement patient care for pre-operative, PACU, and operating room patients while maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring a safe, aseptic environment. Direct patient care in the operating room, supervise scrub duties, and manage instrument counts to ensure no loss of items. Circulate on surgeries, position patients, open sterile packs, and verify medications and orders with the surgical team. Accompany patients to PACU and provide handoff reports to post-operative nurses. Monitor patients for changes in condition and immediately report unusual occurrences to charge personnel. Follow physician orders, comply with HIPAA regulations, and participate in continuing education and quality assurance programs. Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and staff while working within a team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
- Current RN License
- One year of previous nursing experience
- Operating Room experience

- ambulatory surgical center (ASC) experience
- Pre/Post-Op experience
- PACU experience
- ICU experience
- Medical Surgical experience
- Telemetry experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- knowledge of Amkai Office and Amkai Charts Database software
- Knowledge of patient monitoring and emergency equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Printer, copier, telephone and fax skills
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills
- full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus

- Previous nursing experience in at least one of the following settings: Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), PACU, ICU, Medical Surgical or Telemetry floors
