Job Summary
Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents based on individual needs and care plans, administering medications and treatments as prescribed while ensuring accurate documentation. Monitor vital signs, assess health conditions, and promptly report changes to medical personnel. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop care plans, assist in supervising LPNs and CNAs, and educate residents and families on health management and disease prevention. Maintain accurate electronic medical records in adherence to facility policies and participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida
- Sound knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures, with a focus on geriatric care
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills to evaluate and respond to residents' health needs effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members with empathy and professionalism
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status
Desired Qualifications
- Experience preferred in nursing, preferably in a long-term care or nursing home setting
