Job Summary
Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the nursing process and primary nursing principles in accordance with departmental policies. Collect comprehensive patient data, formulate nursing diagnoses, and develop plans of care that prescribe interventions to attain expected outcomes for the child, family, and situation. Implement and coordinate care delivery while employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment, systematically evaluating progress and the quality of nursing practice. Collaborate with families in the conduct of nursing practice, integrate research findings into practice, and participate in generating new knowledge. Serve as a leader in the practice setting, fostering professional development among peers and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Associates of Nursing
- Nursing Licensure for State of Tennessee
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- BLS
- PALS
- Compact license
- Pediatric nursing experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated clinical abilities
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for holidays
- Must work 12 hour shifts
- Must work 36 hours/week
- Must work Days and Nights
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to lift 20-30 lbs frequently
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs constantly
- Must be able to move objects up to 150 lbs
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to squat
- Must be able to reach
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to use keyboard/computer
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions
Desired Qualifications
- Meditech experience
- EPIC experience
- Prior Dolly Children's employee separated for at least 1 year
- PICU experience
