Job Summary
Part-time Registered Nurse in the Orleans County Jail's Medical Department in Albion, NY, with day and evening shifts. Responsibilities include ensuring nursing practice aligns with established standards, assessing and providing treatment while maintaining security, monitoring treatment services to avoid duplication, coordinating with Health Services Administrator and Nurse Supervisor, supporting staff meetings, maintaining accurate records for controlled substances, performing sick calls, documenting patient progress, implementing care plans to promote well-being, and taking vital signs at each shift start. On-the-job orientation and shadowing with nursing staff are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York.
- Current RN license in New York.
- Clinical decision-making ability.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to function independently and demonstrate clinical competency.
- Experience in health care delivery system is a plus.
