Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) per diem providing professional nursing services within a behavioral health setting to support addiction and mental health care. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process independently and with the clinical team, administering prescribed medications, performing screenings (e.g., CIWA, COWS, PAWS, pain and suicidal screening), developing and evaluating care plans, collaborating with medical providers, maintaining accurate documentation and billing in EHR, building relationships with community partner agencies, and maintaining ongoing training. Requires ADN or BSN, Alaska RN license, CPR certification, EMR experience, and the ability to assist patients with addiction, depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. Physical capability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and to work in an office/clinical setting with standard conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Successful graduation from ADN or BSN accredited nursing program
- Current Alaska Registered Nurse License
- CPR certified or willing to become certified through an accredited program
- Experience working with patients who are suffering from addiction, depression, anxiety, and other mental health diagnosis
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to climb stairs and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
