Job Summary
Monitor patients' medical status, signs, and symptoms of withdrawal while providing direct care, administering medications, and conducting medical examinations under supervision. Communicate with supervisors, medical providers, and clinical staff regarding patient concerns and report acute needs related to substance use and mental health disorders. Develop and review medical policies, execute public health screening protocols for infectious diseases, and implement medically based group sessions for harm reduction. Serve on quality assurance committees and document treatment plans consistent with agency policy and New York State laws.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse currently registered by the New York State Department.
- At least one year of experience, or comparable training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or substance dependency.
- Basic computer skills required.
