Job Summary
Monitor patients' medical status, signs, and symptoms of withdrawal while providing direct care, including medical examinations, implementation of orders, and treatment of conditions. Communicate with supervisors, medical providers, and clinical staff regarding patient concerns and execute public health education protocols for tuberculosis, STIs, hepatitis, and HIV. Work under supervision of the Nurse Manager, Service Director, and Program Director to develop and review medical policies. Serve on special review and quality assurance committees as assigned. Provide medical consultation, assessment, and treatment planning consistent with agency policy. This per diem role supports Helio Health's mission to treat substance use and mental health disorders in the Binghamton Inpatient Program.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse currently registered by the New York State Department.
- At least one year of experience, or comparable training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or substance dependency.
- Basic computer skills required.
