Job Summary
Monitor patients' medical status, signs, and symptoms of withdrawal while providing direct patient care including medical examinations, implementation of orders, and treatment of conditions. Communicate with supervisors, medical providers, and community staff regarding patient concerns to ensure continuity of care. Execute public health education and screening protocols for tuberculosis, sexually transmitted diseases, hepatitis, and HIV in coordination with the Medical Director. Develop, recommend, and review medical policies and procedures for all programs within Syracuse Behavioral Healthcare. Serve on special review and quality assurance committees as assigned. This per diem role supports Helio Health's mission to treat substance use and mental health disorders, offering a less physically demanding schedule compared to traditional healthcare settings.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse currently registered by the New York State Department.
- At least one year of experience, or comparable training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or substance dependency.
- Basic computer skills required.
