Job Summary
Coordinate patient care in multispecialty clinical settings by performing physical exams, administering medications, and conducting comprehensive triaging for walk-in patients. Execute and ensure completion of provider orders while monitoring patients pre, during, and post-procedures per military treatment facility guidelines. Recognize adverse signs, report abnormal test results, and make referral appointments to community health services, social work, and other ancillary providers. Educate patients on self-medication, procedure preparation, and wellness measures, then document all care accurately in the electronic health record. This role requires flexibility for days, evenings, nights, weekends, and federal holidays. Candidates must be US citizens with an Associate Degree in Nursing and current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Associates Degree of Nursing
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- one (1) year of clinical or inpatient experience, post-education/graduation and post-licensure, within the last two (2) years providing direct care in multispecialty inpatient or outpatient clinical settings
- recent hands-on proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nurse care for patients across diverse medical and surgical specialties in accordance with current professional nursing standards
- Professional Certification (s): Family Medicine: ACLS, BLS approved by AHA or American Red Cross, PALS
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Must have appropriate TB test documentation within the last year
