Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for Pediatric PACU responsible for age-specific care using the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and health-team members, and providing leadership in coordinating patient care. Performs patient interviews, reviews charts, assesses gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health, evaluates pain, psychosocial status, and discharge needs. Develops and documents individualized care plans, coordinates resources, ensures safety, administers medications and treatments, provides patient and family education, and contributes to discharge planning and referrals. Requires NY RN license and pediatric postoperative care experience; bachelor’s degree preferred and BSN progression within five years.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed
- 2+ years of ICU or PACU RN experience, preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Current NY State RN license
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Enrolled in accredited BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within five years
- 2+ years ICU or PACU RN experience preferred
