Job Summary
Accurately perform patient assessments, identify needs, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions for patients with respiratory failure and cardiac conditions in a 22-bed PCU/Telemetry unit. Provide care tailored to patient condition and age, complete documentation and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan, and conduct timely quality improvement assessments. Maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio while utilizing advanced cardiac monitoring technology to ensure optimal outcomes. Requires a current NC or compact RN license, AHA BLS certification, and ACLS/PALS training.
Required Qualifications
- current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license
- associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification
- AHA ACLS certification
- AHA PALS certification
- ability to work in a stressful environment
