Job Summary
Conduct patient care on IMCU or Medical/Surgical units while floating to other areas based on acuity or staffing needs. Provide training and precepting to RNs transitioning into ICU or ED roles. Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, and care planning using the critical thinking model. Maintain BLS certification within 90 days and ACLS within one year. Requires two years of acute care experience; new grads with hospital-based acute care backgrounds may be considered. Shift runs from 3pm to 11pm as part of the evening resource pool.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing
- Registered nursing License
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 1 year of hire (Required)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
- 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Critical care experience
- Medical Surgical experience
- Previous healthcare experience
- Students in the process of completing a registered nursing program with previous experience in acute care clinical roles
- Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License with previous experience in acute care clinical roles
- Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License with previous experience in acute care clinical roles may be considered in AHRT program
