Job Summary
Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines while ensuring proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals. Record time spent on individual treatments per ancillary services policy and notify the physician of medication refusals, non-compliance, or adverse reactions. Maintain a clean medication cart, refrigerator, and room, disposing of waste correctly. Practice and supervise infection control, universal precaution, and safety policies. Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel as required. This part-time day shift role at Spring Creek Care Center in Millcreek, Utah, serves a geriatric population with a supportive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language
- Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
- Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred
