Job Summary
Manage independent peri-anesthetic care for a diverse surgical and procedural population, including Prep & Holding, Phase II, Discharge, and PACU phases. Observe patients for anesthesia effects, supervise vital signs, and perform post-operative tasks such as administering medication or changing dressings. Provide comprehensive care for surgical patients with underlying medical and emotional needs. Requires BSN or commitment to obtaining within three years, current RN licensure, and BLS. ACLS and PALS required within six months. Minimum two years of experience in Perianesthesia Nursing, Critical Care, or HVIS needed. Full-time 80-hour bi-weekly schedule with staggered shifts; on-call rotation includes some weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- BSN requires; or commitment to obtaining within three years of the date of hire
- Current RN licensure
- BLS required
- ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire
- At least 2 years of experience in one of the following areas: Perianesthesia Nursing, Critical Care, or HVIS
