Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

Job Summary
Perform population-specific comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of patient conditions, including psychosocial, physical, educational, and cultural aspects. Assess and manage pain using appropriate tools while educating patients and families. Develop, revise, and implement individualized plans of care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams as needed. Administer medications following the five rights and assist physicians with peri-anesthesia procedures, including cardio-version and line placements. Monitor airways and cardio-respiratory systems for changes, providing immediate treatment and accurate condition reports for safe patient transfers. Document the nursing process and responses to care timely. Shifts are 3x12s from 7p to 7:30a. Candidates must hold a Connecticut RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications. Critical care experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate effectively using the English language, both verbally and in writing
- Possesses basic computer skills
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Must have and maintain current a Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut
- Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period
- Must maintain clinical competency during employment in this role
- Must be able to communicate effectively using the English language, both verbally and in writing
- Possesses basic computer skills
