Job Summary
Position overview: Responsible for assessing and preparing patients for surgery, monitoring and caring for patients during the recovery phase, and assisting with inpatient transfer or discharge from the facility. Cares for higher-acuity patients with postoperative needs, including chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, multiple IVs, and those requiring longer ventilator support. Provides care to medical and surgical observation patients admitted from the emergency department, direct admissions, or post-surgical status. Receives direction from providers, anesthesia providers, nurse manager, and charge nurse; provides direction to LPNs and CNAs. Requires graduation from an RN nursing program with MT RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification; 2-4 years of relevant hospital experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of RN Nursing Program
- Current MT RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- 2-4 years of hospital Med/Surgical or Critical Care Nursing experience
- Graduate of RN Nursing Program
