Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient Surgery Part Time

Job Summary
Part-time RN for an Outpatient Surgery Center in Charlottesville, VA, working daytime hours (approximately 20 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm) with no nights or weekends. Responsibilities include perioperative nursing care in the OR as a circulating nurse, collaborating with surgical techs, sterile services, and other staff, and supporting PACU services. Requires RN license and ACLS/PALS within specified timelines. 1 year of acute nursing care experience and OR experience preferred; PeriOp 101 completion is beneficial. May offer a sign-on bonus up to $7,500. Facility performs a range of surgeries (orthopedic, breast, gynecology, plastics, ENT, urology, ophthalmology, pediatrics) with four operating rooms. Education: Diploma/Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN/MSN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Education Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
- ACLS required within 1 year of hire
- PALS within 1 year of hire
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- 1 year of experience in Acute Nursing Care required
- Scrub and/or circulator experience in an OR
- Candidates who have completed a PeriOp 101 program
Desired Qualifications
- Perioperative circulating experience
