Job Summary
Monitor patients' medical status, signs, and symptoms of withdrawal while providing direct care, including vitals, medication administration, and treatment planning. Communicate with supervisors, medical providers, and clinical staff regarding patient concerns and execute public health education protocols for infectious diseases. Work under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Program Director to develop and review medical policies and procedures. Provide medical examinations, implement orders, and make referrals for community-based care consistent with agency policy. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm, with preference for 4:00pm to 7:30pm shifts. Requires a current New York State RN license and at least one year of experience in substance abuse or mental health treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse currently registered by the New York State Department.
- At least one year of experience, or comparable training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or substance dependency.
- Basic computer skills required.
