Registered Nurse RN Outpatient Prep and Recovery

RN Outpatient Prep and Recovery role focusing on pre- and perioperative patient care in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include evaluating patients prior to surgery, providing patient and family education about the procedure and perioperative process, preparing patients (intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification), participating in surgical site verification and universal protocols, recognizing and responding to emergencies, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of providers, nurses, and surgical staff, applying the nursing process with critical thinking and leadership, documenting patient status and care, educating patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures, and remaining available for on-call during select non-business hours. The role is supported by self/preferential scheduling posted in advance with a culture of collaboration and ongoing professional development.
