Job Summary
Perform the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice to deliver individualized, relationship-based care to patients and significant others. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and timely documentation while adhering to the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified future workforce and actively participate in the Clinical Champion Forum to drive performance improvement and research utilization. Complete all mandatory education, competency assessments, and population-specific training while supporting protocol development to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Maintain current BLS certification and function decisively in a fast-paced environment, utilizing strong critical thinking and time management skills to uphold system safety goals and service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Current/active license as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia
- Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association, prior to hire date
- ACLS/PALS may be required in some practice areas
- Experience with direct patient care
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
