Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations for patients in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and trauma units while implementing evidence-based care plans. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes across the care continuum. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching, while mentoring preceptors and staff to support workforce development. Participate in shared governance activities, performance improvement initiatives, and protocol development to address adverse events and reduce re-admissions. Maintain licensure and complete mandatory education requirements within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
