Job Summary
Conduct the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients across orthopedics, neuro, surgical, and trauma units. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and case reviews while documenting care and promoting a respectful clinical environment. Partner with patients and families to set goals, provide bedside teaching, and adapt service delivery to cultural diversity. Mentor preceptors and staff students to ensure a qualified workforce, and participate in performance improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice activities. Uphold Wellstar policies, TJC safety goals, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act while maintaining licensure and completing mandatory education.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
